Multidisciplinary Education Research Grant

12 February 2026 –  UniCredit Foundation announces the opening of the Multidisciplinary Education Research Grant – 2nd edition. 
The call supports a selected number of multidisciplinary research programs in the field of education, with the aim of promoting innovative, high‑impact projects that can contribute to improving educational systems in the countries within the UniCredit perimeter.
This is a field‑initiated program: applicants have full freedom in defining research topics, disciplines, methodologies, and approaches, with the sole requirement that they address relevant educational challenges through projects capable of generating concrete and applicable impact.
The competition is open to researchers and professionals of any nationality, affiliated with universities, research institutions or organizations worldwide.

 

Grant Details

  • Number of grants: between 2 and 5
  • Amount per grant: €100,000 – €250,000 (gross)
  • Total funding availble: €500,000 (gross)
  • Duration: up to 3 years

 

Eligibility

Projects will be considered eligible if they:

  • contribute to improving education
  • are carried out in at least one country within the UniCredit perimeter
  • have a clearly scientific nature (training activities, curriculum design, capital projects, software development, fellowships, etc. are excluded)
  • are led by a Principal Investigator (PI) and, where applicable, one or more Co‑Principal Investigators (Co‑PI), all holding a doctoral degree (PhD)

  • Announcement of winners: by 20 July 2026
